Audiophile Opamps

Introducing the fantastic National Semiconductor range of audiophile opamps.

Upgrade from your bog standard 8-pence NJM2114 (or similar) “jellybean” part to something much better, the National Semiconductor LME49720 (dual op) (also known as LM4562 & LME49860 ), LME49710 (single op) and LME49740 (quad op).

These op-amps are possibly the finest sounding chip op-amp currently available. The vocals are very natural, treble is sweet and bass is deep, showing good resonance on natural instruments. The sound lacks the grain of other so called "Audiophile" op-amps with a smoother, sweeter and more fluid treble with detailed mid-band.

*We recommend using Black Gate, Rubycon ZA & ZLG (or similar) capacitors on the power rails for these opamps.

We have introduced the more expensive HA version as we have found this screened opamp has more detail, bass and dynamics than the NA and MA versions.
